Doc Dosco
Doc Dosco is a Canadian boy who moved to
California in the mid 70's. He soon hooked into the LA music scene and
began a busy schedule of playing gigs and doing recording sessions.

With long time friend and producer Esmond Edwards, (George Benson, Kenny
Burrell, B.B. King) Doc has played on recordings with jazz greats such
as Blue Mitchell, Eddie Harris and Red Holloway, and has done recording
sessions with such jazz notables such as Cedar Walton, Bobby Lyle,
Harold Land, Lee Rittenhour, Steve Gadd (among a host of others). He
also did a duo with jazz pianist Joe Albany just a few years before he
passed away.
In the pop music field, Doc has written for, played or recorded with
Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Anthony, The Drifters, The Diamonds, The
Platters, Bobby Womack, Freddie Cannon, Wolfman Jack, Sly Stone, George
Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Nina Hagen, Ian Whitcomb, Big Jay McNeely and
the revolutionary Motown recording artists Black Russian.
Doc was inactive as a player for a number of years doing other kinds of
audio work, but he is back on the scene again and is making a splash
with his Heritage Super Eagle (which he calls the Mercedes Benz of
Guitars!). He has several recording projects currently underway and has
teamed up once again with legendary jazz producer Esmond Edwards. Look
for some new releases very soon.
Doc also does the 'What's Hot' with Jazz Guitar column for the Guitar
News Weekly that features the best of the world jazz guitarists (both
the well known and 'up and coming').
